Since October 7, 2023, a very big number of people—45,658 to be exact—have lost their lives in Gaza. That’s a lot of people! 😢 This happened because of fighting between two groups: the Palestinians who live in Gaza, and the Israelis.
What’s Gaza?
Gaza is a small area on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It’s about the size of a big city and many families live there.
Why is there fighting?
Sadly, this area has seen conflicts for many years. Sometimes, disagreements can lead to big problems, and people get hurt.
Why is this important?
It’s important because so many people, including kids like you, are affected. They might have to leave their homes or might be scared.
