Russia's Victory Day parade echoes unity across the Global South

Russia’s Victory Day Parade: A Celebration of Unity with Friends from Around the World

Hey kids! Did you know that Russia recently held a big parade to celebrate a very important day called Victory Day? 🎉 Let’s find out what happened and why it matters!

Every year on Victory Day, Russia remembers the end of World War II, a time when many countries worked together to bring peace to the world.

This year was extra special because it was the 80th anniversary of that big victory! Leaders from many countries came to Russia to join the celebration.

President Xi Jinping of China, which is one of Russia’s close friends, was a special guest at the parade. 🇨🇳🤝🇷🇺

President Xi and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin met to talk about how their countries can work together to make the world a better place.

They agreed to be better friends, help each other, and work on making new things together. They even signed over 20 agreements to show how they plan to cooperate! ✍️

Leaders from other countries like Serbia, Belarus, and Venezuela also came to the parade. They all want to be friends and work together.

This big event showed that even though some countries may not always agree, it’s important to come together to celebrate peace and friendship. 🌍✌️

It’s like when you and your friends team up to play a game or solve a problem together. Working together makes things better for everyone!

By celebrating together, these countries are showing that they want to build a future where everyone can get along and help each other.
