Organizations like the African Development Bank’s Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa (that’s a big name, so we can call it AFAWA for short) are helping women entrepreneurs get the tools and money they need to succeed.

Meet Elisabeth Tano from Côte d’Ivoire (that’s a country in West Africa). She loves coffee so much that she started her own coffee roasting company! But she needed help to make her business bigger. Thanks to support from AFAWA, she was able to grow her company, create more jobs, and now her coffee is enjoyed not just in her country but also in Mali and Burkina Faso! How cool is that? 😃
