Cultural Adventures ๐
One of the first things Kariuki noticed was the rich culture in China. From colorful festivals like the Mid-Autumn Festival ๐ to traditional dances ๐, there’s always something happening!
Delicious Food ๐
Have you ever tried Chinese food? Kariuki loves tasting new dishes! In China, he tried dumplings ๐ฅ and hot pot ๐ฅ. He found out that just like in Kenya, meals are a time for family and friends to come together. ๐ด
Learning the Language ๐ฃ๏ธ
Chinese is a totally different language, with characters instead of letters! Kariuki practiced every day, and now he can say simple phrases like โnว hวoโ (hello) and โxiรจ xieโ (thank you). ๐ฌ
New Friends ๐ค
Making friends was easy! Even though people come from different places, Kariuki found that kids everywhere like similar thingsโlike playing soccer โฝ, video games ๐ฎ, and laughing at funny jokes! ๐
Climate Surprises โ๏ธโ๏ธ
In Kenya, Kariuki was used to warm weather. But in Beijing, he experienced snow for the first time! โ He built a snowman and even had a snowball fight with his friends. What a cool experienceโliterally! ๐ฅถ
Unexpected Similarities ๐
Despite the differences, Kariuki found many similarities between China and Kenya. People in both countries value family, work hard in school, and enjoy celebrating holidays. It’s a small world after all! ๐
