Wild Weather Hits the United States!

In states like North Carolina, Florida, and Virginia, there have been tornado warnings. A tornado is a spinning column of air that can cause lots of damage. 🌀 In Union County, North Carolina, a tornado with winds up to 145 kilometers per hour touched down! It damaged buildings and caused power outages, but thankfully, no one was hurt.
Wildfires in Texas
Down in Texas, dry and windy weather has caused wildfires. 🔥 In San Patricio County near Corpus Christi, at least 20 homes and buildings were burned. Firefighters are working hard to put out the fires, and people are staying safe by following safety instructions.
Blizzards in the Midwest
Meanwhile, in places like Nebraska, Minnesota, and Iowa, there’s been heavy snowfall and blizzards! ❄️ In Minneapolis, they got the most snow they’ve seen all season, with about 19 centimeters falling! The strong winds and slippery roads have made driving dangerous, so people are staying indoors and keeping warm.
