Three Rare North China Leopards Spotted in Shaanxi Reserve! πŸ†

Hey there, nature lovers! 🌿 Guess what? Three rare North China leopards were spotted not once, but twice in the Zhouzhi National Nature Reserve in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province! πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†

The sightings included an adult female and her two young leopards. The reserve’s staff found them on footage collected from infrared cameras. The first appearance was on May 16, and just ten days later, they showed up again!

Did you know? These leopards are a special subspecies of the Amur leopard, unique to China. They can grow up to 2 meters long and weigh around 70 kilograms! That’s like the weight of a grown-up panda! 🐼

Seeing these big cats in the wild is super exciting because it means the forest is healthy and full of food for them to eat. The North China leopard is a first-class national protected animal in China.

Currently, traces of these amazing animals can be found in mountainous forests in north and northwest China. In the Zhouzhi Reserve alone, there are about 10 leopards roaming free!

Isn’t it awesome to know that these majestic creatures are thriving? Let’s hope we can continue to protect their habitat so they can live happily in the wild. 🌳❀️
