In Montreal, Canada, scientists at the Insectarium have started a cool project called Antenna. They’re using special cameras and AI to watch and study insects.
They’ve set up solar-powered cameras in places like the Canadian far north and the rainforests of Panama. These cameras take pictures every 10 seconds of insects that come to special UV lights. That’s a lot of pictures! 📷✨

AI is like a super-smart computer program that can learn and make decisions. The scientists use AI to look at all the insect pictures and figure out which species they are.
Mr. David Rolnick, a scientist at the Quebec AI Institute, said they found 300 new species in just one week in Panama! And that’s just the beginning! 🌟
