Hey there! Have you ever heard of the Chinese merganser duck? 🦆 It’s a super rare and special duck that’s unique to China. In fact, it’s so special that it’s considered a first-class protected wild animal!
Every year, in April and May, these amazing ducks travel to Changbai Mountain in northeast China’s Jilin Province. This mountain is like their favorite spot to start a family. Right now is a super exciting time because the cute little ducklings are hatching from their eggs and starting to explore the world!
Imagine tiny, fluffy ducklings hopping out of their nests and following their parents around the forest and streams. Isn’t that adorable? If you ever get a chance to visit Changbai Mountain, keep an eye out for these rare birds. But remember, they’re protected, so we have to be careful and make sure we don’t disturb them.
