👨👩👧👦 Over 650,000 people from Gaza City had to leave their homes because of fighting. They are called displaced people. They hope to return soon.
But recently, Israel said that a female civilian who was supposed to be released by Hamas was not freed as planned. Hamas, a group in Gaza, says she will be released in the next exchange on February 1.
Because of this disagreement, the Israeli Prime Minister, Mr. Netanyahu, is not allowing the displaced people to return home until the situation is sorted out.
This means that many families have to wait longer before they can go back to their houses, schools, and normal lives. It’s a tough time for them, and they hope the problems will be solved soon.
