Hey friends! Did you hear about the big earthquake in Xizang, China? 🌏 On Tuesday morning at 9:05 a.m., a strong earthquake measuring 6.8 shook Dingri County in Xigaze, which is in southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region. That’s a really powerful quake!
The earthquake was deep underground, about 10 kilometers down. This caused the ground to shake a lot on the surface. But here’s the inspiring part: people are coming together to help! 🤝
The emergency teams in Xizang have declared a Level I response, which is the highest level. This means they’re working super hard to make sure everyone stays safe.
By Tuesday night, over 5,800 relief supplies like warm tents, cozy clothes, and quilts arrived in Dingri to help those affected. 🏕️🧥 And guess what? More than 16,000 additional supplies are on their way and will arrive on Wednesday!
It’s heartwarming to see so many heroes stepping up to help others in need. Let’s keep the people of Xizang in our thoughts and hope everyone stays safe. Maybe we can learn more about earthquakes and how to help when disasters happen. Stay kind and keep spreading hope! ❤️
