Early on Tuesday morning, a strong earthquake shook Dingri County in Xigaze City, which is in southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region. The earthquake had a magnitude of 6.8, which means it was very powerful!
Unfortunately, the earthquake caused damage and hurt many people. At least 95 people lost their lives, and 130 others were injured. That’s very sad news. 😢
But there’s hope! Over 3,400 rescuers have rushed to help the people in the earthquake-hit area. They include firefighters, doctors, and even military personnel from China. They are working day and night to save lives. 🚑👩🚒
More than 340 medical workers are there to take care of the injured. They’re working hard to help everyone who needs it. 🩺👨⚕️
Rescue teams are searching for people who might be trapped under buildings. They’re also bringing food, water, and other supplies to those who need them.
