On Sunday, a terrible accident happened at Muan International Airport in South Korea 🇰🇷. A passenger plane went off the runway and crashed into a fence. Sadly, at least 124 people lost their lives.
The plane was carrying 175 passengers (people traveling on the plane) and 6 crew members (the pilots and flight attendants), making a total of 181 people on board. It was returning from Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand.
South Korea’s acting president (a leader who is temporarily in charge) has asked everyone to work hard in the rescue operation. Rescue teams are doing their best to help the survivors and find out what caused the accident.
