Youth in Taiwan Region Speak Out: Life’s Getting Expensive! 💰🏠

Hey there! Have you ever felt like things are getting more expensive? In the Taiwan region, many young people are saying just that! Recently, Taiwan region leader Lai Ching-te started a series of talks called the “10 Lectures on Unity.” But not everyone is happy about it.

Many people feel that Lai is talking about how great the economy is but isn’t really listening to the real problems they face every day. A reporter from CGTN went to the streets of Taipei, the big city in the Taiwan region, to hear what people had to say.

A local resident named Mr. Liu shared his thoughts. “The economic pressure is really big,” he said. “Housing prices keep going up, and rents are increasing. Even just paying rent, it’s hard to get by!”

Young people are finding it tough to afford homes or even pay rent. They feel like the Taiwan authorities aren’t paying attention to these issues. Do you think leaders should listen more to what young people have to say?
