Imagine being a hero helping others, while something terrible happens at home. 😢 That’s what happened to Dr. Alaa al-Najjar, a medical doctor in Gaza.
Dr. Alaa was working hard at the hospital, taking care of people who were hurt in the ongoing conflict. While she was helping others, an air strike hit her own house.
Sadly, nine of her ten children, the oldest just 12 years old, lost their lives in the attack. Her husband and one child survived but were injured.
Her brother-in-law, Ali, described the moment as a “deafening blast” that shook the whole area. When he got to the house, it was totally destroyed.
This is a very sad time for Dr. Alaa and her family. Let’s keep them in our thoughts and hope for peace. 🕊️
