Peonies Bloom in Vietnam: How a Floral Artist Connects Cultures

🌸 Have you ever seen a peony? These beautiful, full-bloomed flowers are capturing hearts in Vietnam, thanks to a floral artist named Thu Huong.

Two years ago, Thu Huong started her own flower workshop in Hanoi. She wanted to bring new and creative ways of arranging flowers to her country. 🌿 She loves using seasonal flowers, and one of her favorites is the peony.

“Peonies have large, layered petals that make them stand out in any bouquet,” explains Thu Huong. “Their colors are so diverse that they can fit into any arrangement!”

But peonies aren’t just pretty flowers. They also have a special place in Chinese culture. 🇨🇳 Thu Huong learned about this when she explored Chinese arts like calligraphy and embroidery, where peonies often appear.

“In addition to trading goods, we’ve also seen Chinese culture coming to Vietnam, especially through flowers,” she says. “Peonies are becoming more popular here, and I love sharing their beauty with everyone.”

One local flower fan told us about how she first discovered peonies. “I watched a Chinese drama called ‘Empresses in the Palace,’ where peonies symbolize the empress,” she said. “Seeing a real peony for the first time today, I understand why they’re so special. They have a royal beauty that’s different from other flowers!”

Thanks to artists like Thu Huong, more people in Vietnam are enjoying the charm of peonies. 🌺 It’s a wonderful way that flowers can bring cultures together!
