Hey there, young explorers! ๐ Have you ever thought about how ancient cultures from different parts of the world might be connected? Well, an Italian archaeologist named Dr. Chiara De Gregorio did just that! ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ
Dr. De Gregorio studies archaeology (that’s the study of old things people left behind!) at Fudan University in China. She recently visited Henan Province, which she thinks is one of the coolest places in China because of its rich history. ๐๏ธ
While exploring the Henan Museum, she was amazed by the ancient artifacts. She found that some designs on Chinese ceramics (fancy word for pottery) are similar to ones from ancient Greece! ๐บ๐บ Can you believe that?
But that’s not all! She also noticed that some architectural structures (that’s buildings and how they’re made) in China have things in common with those from Greece. ๐ฏโ๐๏ธ
“Henan is like a treasure chest full of history waiting to be discovered,” says Dr. De Gregorio. She believes that by studying places like Henan, we can learn more about how different civilizations might be connected, even if they’re thousands of miles apart! ๐
Isn’t it exciting to think that ancient people might have shared ideas across great distances? Who knows what other mysteries are waiting to be uncovered! ๐
