Did you know that Macao is celebrating its 25th anniversary since returning to China? π Over the past 25 years, this vibrant city has grown and become a place full of exciting opportunities!
Meet Meury Ferreira, a student from Angola, a country in Africa. She is studying global public health at the University of Macau. π« She loves Macao because it’s a city where people from all over the world come together.
“As a foreigner, I find the educational environment in Macao to be very diverse,” says Meury. “It’s a very friendly city for people like me who come from other countries.”
Macao is part of something called the Greater Bay Area (GBA). But what is that? π€ The GBA is a special region in southern China that includes big cities like Hong Kong, Macao, and Guangzhou. It’s a place where lots of new ideas and technologies are being developed! π
Because of the GBA, Macao has many chances to invest in cool new innovations. For students like Meury, that means lots of possibilities for the future. “I’m considering working in Macao or the GBA in the future,” she shares. π
Macao’s diversity and the opportunities it offers make it an exciting place for young people from around the world. Who knows? Maybe one day, you might visit or even study there too! π
