Hi friends! Have you heard about what’s happening in Lebanon? It’s a country far away, but the kids and families there need our thoughts and support.
There’s been some fighting between groups called the Israeli military and Hezbollah militants. Because of this, over 1 million people in Lebanon have had to leave their homes. That’s like if everyone in a big city suddenly had to move!
Most of these families have gone to places like Beirut, the capital city, or to the north. But there aren’t enough houses or shelters for everyone. Some people are sleeping outside in forests ๐ณ or even on the streets. It’s getting colder, and they don’t have a warm place to stay.
Local helpers, like kind-hearted people from non-profit organizations, are trying their best to give food, blankets, and other help. But they don’t have enough resources to help everyone.
Dounia Khairallah Tawk, who started one of these helper groups, said that many people in Beirut are now without homes. Can you imagine not having a home to go to after school?
We can think about ways to help, like learning more about what’s happening, sharing with our friends, or even finding ways to support those in need.
Remember, every bit of kindness counts! ๐
