Gaza Carpenter Builds Wooden Shoes to Help Children in Need
Have you ever thought about what it would be like to not have shoes? In Gaza, a place where life can be really tough, a kind carpenter named Saber Dawas is making a big difference! πβ€οΈ
Saber has six kids, and because of conflicts in the area, it’s hard to find or buy shoes. Prices are going up, and many families can’t afford them. Saber noticed that many children were walking around barefoot, which can be dangerous. They might get cuts or catch diseases. π’
But Saber had an idea! π‘ Since he’s a carpenter, he decided to use his skills to make wooden shoes. He found wood from old tents and borrowed some tools from his neighbors. Now, he’s not only making shoes for his own family but hopes to make enough to sell them at low prices so other kids can have shoes too! π οΈπ
“The wooden shoes will at least give children something to wear,” Saber said. He’s turning pieces of wood into helpful shoes, showing that one person can make a big impact in their community. π
Isn’t it amazing how Saber’s creativity is helping others? Maybe we can all think about ways to help people around us too! What ideas do you have to make your community a better place? π
