Have you ever seen rain so heavy that it causes rivers to overflow? 🌧️ That’s what happened in Nepal starting on September 26. The rain didn’t stop for days, and it caused big problems.
The rivers in Nepal got too full and began to spill over their banks. This led to floods and landslides, which are when dirt and rocks slide down a mountain or hill. These disasters damaged homes and made many people unsafe.
According to the Nepalese police, at least 217 people sadly lost their lives, 28 people are missing, and 143 others have been hurt. This is very sad news for the families and friends of those people.
One resident said, “The rain was so heavy that the water rose very quickly. It swept away all our belongings.” Imagine losing your home and everything in it! 🏠💔
Rescue teams rushed to help the people affected by the floods. They are working hard to find those who are missing and to help people who lost their homes.
This reminds us how powerful nature can be and how important it is to help each other in difficult times. 💪🌍
Let’s keep the people of Nepal in our thoughts and hope they can rebuild their homes soon. 🙏
