Exploding Devices in Lebanon: Former General Shares Thoughts

Hey everyone! ๐Ÿ˜Š Have you ever heard of devices like pagers and walkie-talkies? They’re gadgets people use to send messages and talk to each other. But recently in Lebanon, something surprising and sad happened involving these devices.

In Lebanon, there have been some explosions involving pagers and walkie-talkies. These explosions hurt many people and even caused some to lose their lives. At least 37 people were killed, and nearly 3,500 were injured. That’s a lot of people! ๐Ÿ˜ž

Also, a leader from a group called Hezbollah was killed in an airstrike in Beirut, which is the capital city of Lebanon. This happened on September 20. An airstrike is when bombs are dropped from airplanes.

We spoke to Georges Saghir, who used to be a brigadier general in the Lebanese Army. That means he was a high-ranking officer who helped lead the army. Now, he studies and talks about politics and military strategies.

Mr. Saghir shared his thoughts about these events. He said, “It’s hard for Israel to do it by itself. Israel, I think, has been helped by the United States to do that.”

He believes that Israel might not have acted alone and may have had help from another country. Israel and Hezbollah have had conflicts in the past, and sometimes other countries are involved in these situations.

It’s always important to understand what’s happening in different parts of the world. Even though these events are serious and sad, learning about them can help us appreciate the importance of peace and working together to solve problems.

Let’s hope for safer and happier times ahead for everyone in Lebanon and around the world. ๐ŸŒโค๏ธ
