Did you know that fishermen can be heroes for the environment? 🌟 In the Xisha Islands, also known as the Paracels, fishermen have become guardians of their own islands!
Since 2017, these fishermen have formed Island and Reef Ranger teams. Their mission? To protect and care for the islands’ amazing ecosystem.
We visited Zhaoshu Island, one of the beautiful spots in the Xisha Islands. There, we joined the rangers on their daily rounds.
Every day, the rangers patrol the beaches, clean up trash, and watch over the coral reefs. They make sure that the plants and animals are safe and healthy.
Imagine living on an island surrounded by crystal-clear waters and colorful fish! 🐠 The fishermen want to keep their home clean and beautiful for everyone to enjoy.
