Imagine living next to a huge desert ๐๏ธ. It’s dry, sandy, and sometimes the wind blows the sand everywhere! But what if you could help stop the desert from spreading? That’s exactly what three amazing families did in China!
Over the past 60 years, three generations of forest rangers named Zhu Hongwei, Song Caifu, and Tuluxun Maimaiti worked hard to protect their land. They planted trees ๐ณ, bushes ๐ฟ, and created a giant green barrier between two big deserts.
This green barrier is enormous! It’s 14 kilometers wide and 180 kilometers long. That’s like a wall of trees stretching longer than 1,600 soccer fields end to end! โฝ๏ธ๐๏ธ
Their hard work helps protect their homes and towns from sandstorms and keeps the land healthy for plants and animals. Thanks to them, the desert is kept at bay, and the environment is much happier! ๐
Isn’t it inspiring how these families worked together over so many years to take care of the Earth? ๐ Maybe someday, you can find ways to help the environment too!
