Young Martial Artists Reach for Shaolin Wushu Glory! πŸ₯‹βœ¨

Imagine practicing martial arts for over three years and finally getting the chance to show your skills on an international stage! That’s exactly what happened at the 13th Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Competition.

Thirty-three amazing athletes from 10 different countries came together to take part in the Shaolin Wushu Duanwei grading examination. But wait, what’s that? πŸ€”

What’s Shaolin Wushu Duanwei?

Shaolin Wushu is a famous Chinese martial art that combines cool kung fu moves with deep philosophy and history. The Duanwei grading system is like earning belts in karate or taekwondo. The higher the Duan, the more skillful you are!

The Road to Mastery

To get recognized at the elementary level, you need at least three years of hard work and practice. But if you aim higher, you have to master not just the moves but also understand the theories and philosophies behind them. Plus, you should have contributed something special to the world of Wushu!

Meet the International Stars 🌍⭐

CGTN host Sergey Gordeev met with some of these international athletes to hear about their hopes and dreams. They’re super excited to take the exam and show the world what they’ve got!

Who knows? Maybe one day, you could be one of them! If you love martial arts, keep practicing, stay curious, and perhaps you’ll reach for the stars too! 🌟
