Lighting Up Beijing: Recreating an Ancient Lantern Festival!
Hey there! Have you ever wished you could travel back in time? Well, guess what? In Beijing, a wonderful lady named Niu Ruixue is making that happen! 🎉
Niu loves her city, Beijing, so much that she wanted to share its amazing history with everyone. She and her team started an activity center called “Courtyard No. 27”, a special place where elderly people can come together and have fun.
But Niu had an even brighter idea! 💡 She decided to recreate the ancient Lantern Festival on Dengshikou Street, just like it was over 300 years ago! That’s older than your great-great-great-grandparents!
The Lantern Festival is a magical time when streets are filled with colorful lanterns, music, and joy. Imagine walking down the street with thousands of glowing lights all around you! 🏮✨
Niu’s project is called “Myriad of Lights”. “Myriad” means a whole lot—like, more than you can count! She wanted to light up the lives of the senior citizens by bringing back this beautiful tradition.
Thanks to Niu, both young and old can now experience the wonder of the Lantern Festival, just like people did centuries ago. Isn’t that amazing? 😃
So next time you see a bright light or a colorful lantern, remember how one person’s love for their city can make history come alive again!
