Recently, a spectacular Kung Fu show called “When Khmer Meets Shaolin” kicked off at the gate of the famous Shaolin Temple on Songshan Mountain in central China. But wait, what’s “Khmer”? ๐ค
“Khmer” (pronounced “k’mai”) is the name of the people of Cambodia ๐ฐ๐ญ, a country in Southeast Asia. They have their own unique martial arts style! So, picture Cambodian warriors meeting Chinese Shaolin monks for an epic exchange of martial arts. How awesome is that? ๐
This amazing event was part of the 13th Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Festival. “Wushu” means martial arts in Chinese, and this festival is like a big party where people from all over the world come to show off their moves! ๐ฅ๐
