Ambassador Encourages Chinese Artists to Shine Globally π
Hey there! Have you ever thought about how awesome it would be to see more Chinese artists sharing their talents around the world? Well, Lemi Ponifasio, the World Theatre Ambassador for the International Theatre Institute β UNESCO, thinks so too!
Recently, at a big meeting in Beijing called the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting, Ponifasio shared his exciting ideas. He had just worked with the Yi ethnic group from Sichuan Province in China. Together, they went on a global tour to showcase their amazing performances!
Ponifasio believes that while China is a strong country in many ways, its artists aren’t seen enough on the international stage. He said, “Chinese artists in the international arena are missing.” That’s like saying we need more Chinese singers, dancers, actors, and artists for everyone to enjoy!
He encourages China to be confident and share its rich culture with the world. Imagine all the cool music, colorful dances, and interesting stories we could discover!
So next time you’re exploring new music or art, keep an eye out for Chinese artists. Let’s celebrate and learn from each other to make the world a more creative place! π¨π
