🏓 Pickleball, a fun game that’s a mix of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, is bringing together young people from China and the United States!
In April, over 40 students and teachers from Maryland’s Montgomery County Youth Pickleball Cultural Exchange Delegation traveled all the way to China. Led by Jeffrey Keith Sullivan, they visited Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen to play pickleball and make new friends.
Recently, Jeffrey got an exciting reply to a letter he wrote to Chinese President Xi Jinping! 📝 He exclaimed, “This is awesome!” and couldn’t wait to share the wonderful news with his students and fellow teachers who still have happy memories of their trip.
Now, pickleball has become a new bond between Chinese and American youth. It’s amazing how a simple game can connect people from different parts of the world! 🌏🤝
Maybe next time you pick up a paddle, you’ll be connecting with someone halfway across the globe too!
