Hey there, young explorers! 🗺️
Have you ever wondered what life was like thousands of years ago? If you’re curious, the Shanghai Museum has something amazing for you! It’s called ‘The Spiraling Glory: Treasures from Guyuan, Ningxia’, and it’s like taking a time machine back to ancient China! 🇨🇳
What’s so special?
Over 300 incredible artifacts are on display, dating all the way from the Western Zhou period (that’s from 1046-771 BC!) to the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD). 🏺 These treasures tell stories of kings, warriors, and everyday people from long ago.
Where did these treasures come from?
The artifacts were found in Guyuan, a city nestled at the foot of the Liupan Mountains in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. 🏔️ Guyuan was a super important place because it connected farmers from the central plains, nomads from the northern grasslands, and traders traveling along the famous Silk Road. 🐫
