The Trump administration wanted to make a rule that would stop international students from studying at Harvard. But on Friday, a judge named Allison Burroughs said, \”Hold on!\” and put the rule on pause. 🛑
Harvard University was worried because more than 27% of its students come from other countries. That’s a lot of friends from all over the globe! 🌎 Over one-fifth of these international students are from China.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said that making education political isn’t a good idea and could hurt the United States’ image. They want students to keep learning together. 🤝
This isn’t the first time Harvard has taken the Trump administration to court. There’s been a lot of back-and-forth about rules and who gets to make them.
