Yuki’s Reptile Museum: Turning Fear into Fascination in Beijing

Do you think snakes are scary? 🐍

Well, Yuki from Beijing has always thought they were fascinating!

When he was a kid in the 1990s, Yuki loved frogs, lizards, and snakes. But back then, there weren’t many ways for kids in China to learn about these unique creatures.

Everything changed when Yuki went to study abroad. In other countries, the laws allowed him to keep reptiles as pets—animals he’d only read about in books! He could finally explore his passion up close.

When Yuki returned to Beijing, he had a dream. He studied local laws and realized he could create a place where people could learn about and meet these amazing animals. That’s how his reptile museum was born!

Today, Yuki’s museum offers fun workshops and hands-on sessions for kids and teenagers. You can learn about biology, ecology, and why it’s important to respect all living things. Maybe you’ll even get to hold a snake or a lizard! 🦎

Yuki hopes that by meeting these creatures, people will be less afraid and more curious. He says that if someone—especially a kid—leaves the museum a little less scared and a little more fascinated, that’s what makes it all worth it.

So, would you like to visit Yuki’s reptile museum and make some new scaly friends? 🐢🐸
