π Excitement filled the air in Beijing’s Chaoyang District as kids and families from around the world came together to celebrate traditional Chinese culture ahead of the Spring Festival! π
Participants enjoyed interactive performances like paper-cutting, a tea ceremony performed with a long-spouted teapot, and a fan dance that included graceful Tai Chi movements. It was a fantastic way to experience the rich traditions of China firsthand! π
A friendly staff member from a local folklore museum explained the customs of the Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year, in both Chinese and English. Everyone learned how this important holiday is all about family, happiness, and looking forward to a bright new year. π§§
Among the excited participants was Anna from Poland, who lives in Beijing with her Chinese husband and their child. Anna smiled as she watched her child create a colorful dough sculpture of a little green snake. “It’s pretty!” she exclaimed. π
“I am passionate about traditional Chinese culture and always pay great attention to my child’s learning of it,” Anna shared. “Being able to participate in this event is a fantastic experience for children.” π
Over 50 people from 18 countries, including Germany, the UK, Russia, and Thailand, joined in the fun. It was a wonderful day of making new friends and celebrating the beauty of Chinese traditions together! πβ€οΈ
