Discovering a 2,000-Year-Old Bed!

Imagine finding a bed that’s older than your entire school! 😲 In 2000, archaeologists in Chengdu, China, did just that. They uncovered pieces of a lacquer bed that had been buried for over 2,000 years!

This ancient bed belonged to the Shu people, a mysterious civilization from China’s past. It was found in bits and pieces inside a coffin underneath a busy street.

But here’s the tricky part: the bed was in hundreds of pieces! It took experts 17 years to carefully restore it. That’s longer than most of you have been alive!
