Georgian Movie Wins Big at Hainan Film Festival! 🎬✨
The 6th Hainan Island International Film Festival in Sanya, China, just wrapped up with a bang! The big winner of the night was the Georgian film “Holy Electricity”, which took home the Best Picture award! 📽️🌟
Another exciting winner was the Serbian movie “78 Days”, which won the Grand Jury Prize. And guess what? Laetitia Dosch won Best Director for her awesome work on “Dog on Trial”! 🏆
The awards for acting went to some really talented people. Alberth Merma grabbed the Best Actor award for his role in “Through Rocks and Clouds”, and Preeti Panigrahi won Best Actress for “Girls Will Be Girls”. 🎭
The Best Scriptwriter award was shared by Ruth Becquart and Leonardo Van Dijl for their film “Julie Keeps Quiet”. How cool is that? ✍️
Chinese director Dong Zijian made a big splash with his first movie “My Friend An Delie”, winning both the Best Visual Effect and the Best Chinese Contribution of the Year awards! 🎉
The Best Documentary Film was “An Oscillating Shadow”, and “Vox Humana” was named Best Short Film. 📺
The jury, led by famous French filmmaker Luc Besson, said the movies this year were amazing! 🎥 They loved stories that made people feel strong emotions and connected with the audience.
