Hey softball fans! Guess what happened at the Women’s Softball Asia Cup in Xi’an, China? The final games got rained out! 🌧️ But that didn’t stop Japan from keeping their championship title! They were unbeaten with a perfect 9-0 record! 🏆
China came in second place with an 8-1 record. They had an exciting 8-4 win over Chinese Taipei (that’s the team from the island of Taiwan) on Saturday. The Philippines snagged fourth place. 🇯🇵🇨🇳🇵🇭
Because of their top spots, Japan, China, and Chinese Taipei are heading to the 2026 World Cup! 🗺️ It’s going to be hosted in the Czech Republic, Peru, and the USA. How cool is that?
Also, this tournament was a chance for teams to qualify for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan. South Korea, Hong Kong SAR (Special Administrative Region), Singapore, and Thailand will be joining the top four teams there! 🎉
Even though the rain stopped the final games, the players showed amazing skill and teamwork throughout the tournament. Maybe one day, you’ll be playing on one of these teams! Keep practicing! 🥎💪
