From July 16 to 20, this expo was like a giant playground for the latest and coolest clean energy technologies. Imagine seeing the newest solar panels that turn sunlight into electricity and wind turbines that harness the wind’s power!
Did you know that China is a superstar when it comes to renewable energy? They produce 80% of the world’s solar panels (called photovoltaic modules) and 70% of the main parts for wind turbines! That’s a lot!
At the expo’s “Charting the Green Horizon” event, visitors got to see how clean energy is changing our world. China is also one of the top producers of hydropower (using water for energy), nuclear power, and equipment that helps send electricity where it’s needed.
