Chinese Premier Li Qiang has announced the start of building a huge hydropower project on the Yarlung Zangbo River in Xizang (also known as Tibet) in southwest China. 🏔️

On Saturday, Premier Li attended a special ceremony in Nyingchi City, where they officially started building this big project. Many important people were there, including local residents and experts.
What Is a Hydropower Project?

About the Project
This project will have five hydropower stations built along the river. It’s a massive plan, costing around 1.2 trillion yuan (that’s about $167.8 billion)! 😲
