China rolls out cooling measures amid heat waves

China’s Cool Moves Against the Heat Wave! ❄️☀️

Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot! 🔥

Did you know that in some parts of the Chinese mainland, temperatures are soaring above 40 degrees Celsius? 🥵 That’s hotter than a super warm summer day in many places!

In the province of Shaanxi, eight weather stations recorded their highest temperatures ever! Cities like Xi’an, Baoji, and others are experiencing super hot days. But there’s good news: starting Thursday, some rain might cool things down a bit! ☔

In Shanxi Province, they even had to issue the highest red-level heat alert. In Yuncheng City, the temperature went over 40 degrees Celsius! To help people stay cool, they are spraying water on the streets and opening rest stations with free water and air conditioning. 😎

Turpan, a city in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is known as the “fire stove”! 🔥 From Wednesday to Sunday, temperatures there are expected to be over 40 degrees, and in some places, over 45 degrees! That’s super hot! The local authorities are helping by making sure everyone stays safe and setting up cooling stations. 🧊

In Zhengzhou City of Henan Province, they’re also feeling the heat. Local workers are changing their schedules so they don’t have to work during the hottest parts of the day. Smart move! 👍

This heatwave is so big that over 20,000 high-temperature alerts have been issued across the country! That’s 40% more than last year. But don’t worry, cooler weather is on the way for some places as rain and cooler air are expected to arrive soon. 🌥️

Remember, when it’s super hot outside, drink lots of water, stay in the shade, and keep cool! 💧
