China’s Tall Stars Lead Team to Victory Over South Korea! π
Hey basketball fans! Did you hear about the exciting game between China and South Korea at the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup? It was a slam dunk! πβ¨
China’s team, playing on their home court in Shenzhen, had two super tall players who made a big difference. Han Xu and Zhang Ziyu, who are both over 2 meters tall (that’s really tall!), teamed up to score a total of 36 points! That’s like scoring lots of baskets together. ππ
At first, both teams found it tough to score points. The game was scoreless for nearly two minutes until South Korea’s Park Ji-hyun made the first basket. But soon, China’s players started to get into the groove. Luo Xinyu, a 23-year-old forward, grabbed important rebounds (that’s when you catch the ball after a missed shot) and helped her team with clever passes. π
Then came Zhang Ziyu, who’s just 18 years old and stands at an incredible 226 cm tall! That’s taller than most people can imagine. She used her height to help her team score and defend. Even though South Korea tried hard to get past her, Zhang was a strong force on the court. πͺ
By the third quarter, China tried something new. They played both of their tall centers, Han and Zhang, at the same time! This “double-tower” strategy worked wonders. They scored quickly and extended their lead. South Korea tried to keep up by shooting three-pointers (long shots worth more points), but China stayed ahead. π―
In the final quarter, China’s players started hitting shots from beyond the arc (that’s basketball talk for long-distance shots). Players like Huang Sijing and Yang Liwei made important three-pointers that helped secure the win. South Korea fought hard, but they started to get tired, and China took advantage. π
When the game ended, China had won 91-69, keeping their unbeaten record in the group stage! Han and Zhang each scored 18 points, and Han grabbed 12 rebounds, the most in the game. For South Korea, Choi I-saem scored 16 points, making four three-pointers. π
It was an exciting game, and both teams played with lots of heart. If you love basketball or just enjoy watching amazing athletes, keep an eye on these playersβthey’re making big moves on the court! πβ€οΈ
