Hey there! Have you ever wondered how robots and computers might change our lives? 🤖🌍
At a big meeting called the 11th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations in Qufu, Eastern China’s Shandong Province, more than 560 guests from over 70 countries got together to talk about just that!
They were especially interested in how Artificial Intelligence, or AI for short, might affect the future of human civilization. That’s a big way of saying they talked about how smart computers could change the way we live!
Two professors, Edwin Etieyibo from South Africa and Xiang Shuchen from China, shared some cool ideas.
They think that AI is like the next big tool humans have made—just like when we invented the wheel or the internet. It’s part of how we learn and share knowledge.
But they also have some worries.
Too Much AI?
Professor Xiang says we need to be careful not to rely too much on AI, especially in schools. If students use AI for everything, they might forget how to think for themselves! 🧠✏️
Staying Human
Professor Etieyibo warns that if we depend too much on AI, we might lose some of the things that make us human, like creativity and being kind to each other. He even mentions that sometimes people can’t tell the difference between real and AI-made music!
Working Together
Both professors agree that the whole world needs to work together to make rules for AI. They want to make sure that everyone gets to use AI, not just some countries. It’s important that places like Africa are included so that AI helps everyone.
