Something amazing happened over the Palcho Monastery in Xizang (also known as Tibet) after a summer rain shower. A rare full-circle rainbow appeared in the sky!
Most of us have seen rainbows shaped like an arc, but did you know that, from the right spot, you can sometimes see a full circle? Imagine standing on a mountaintop and seeing a giant colorful hoop in the sky! 🌈 Isn’t that cool?
Full-circle rainbows are rare because you need the right conditions to see them. Usually, when we’re on the ground, we can only see half of the rainbow because the Earth blocks the rest. But sometimes, if you’re up high or the sun is at the right angle, you can see the whole circle!
The historic Palcho Monastery, nestled among the mountains in Gyantse County, looked even more magical under the luminous arc. It has been standing there for hundreds of years, and seeing the full-circle rainbow over it was like a special moment out of a fairy tale.
Many people believe that full-circle rainbows are symbols of completeness and success. They bring blessings and good fortune. It was a special sight for everyone who saw it!
Next time it rains and the sun comes out, keep an eye on the sky. Who knows, maybe you’ll spot a rainbow too! 🌦️
