China's Shenzhou-19 astronauts meet press after return from space

Chinese Astronauts Return from Space: Shenzhou-19 Heroes Share Their Amazing Journey!

Guess what? Three Chinese astronauts have just returned from space and shared their incredible adventures with the world! 🚀

The astronauts, Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong, and Wang Haoze, were part of China’s Shenzhou-19 mission. They made their first public appearance on Wednesday after safely landing back on Earth in April.

After months of quarantine and health checks (that’s like a super long doctor’s visit! 🩺), they’re all feeling great and are now resting up as part of their post-mission routine.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work! 🤝

Commander Cai Xuzhe talked about how working together was super important. He said, “During the flight, our crew united as one with shared beliefs and goals. This spirit helped China’s space program keep moving forward!” Isn’t that inspiring?

Walking in Space! 🌌

Pilot Song Lingdong shared his excitement about preparing for extravehicular activities (EVAs). Don’t worry if that sounds tricky! EVAs are when astronauts put on space suits and go outside their spacecraft to do things like repairs—basically, spacewalks! 👨‍🚀

He said, “We trained really hard every day. When I opened the airlock hatch for the spacewalk, it was the result of years of effort. It felt amazing to see my dream come true and help our country’s space exploration!”

Cool Space Robots! 🤖

Mission specialist Wang Haoze talked about testing a special space pipeline robot system. This robot can help maintain the space station in the future. How cool is that?

He said, “We tested and proved that the robot works great! Standing on the shoulders of past space explorers, I believe we’ll make even more awesome discoveries in space science.”

A Record-Breaking Mission 🌟

The Shenzhou-19 spacecraft launched on October 30, 2024, from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The crew spent 183 days in space—that’s about half a year! 😲

They set a new world record for the longest single spacewalk during their three outdoor adventures. Plus, they completed over 70 space science experiments and tried out new technologies, like the cool robot we mentioned earlier.

After all their hard work, they returned safely to Earth on April 30, 2025. Welcome home, space heroes! 🎉
