Hey there! Do you know what happened in Taiwan recently?
On a special day, people in Taiwan’s capital city, Taipei, gathered together. They met outside a big building to remember an important event from 88 years ago called the Lugou Bridge Incident. This event marked the beginning of a long struggle against aggression.
These people wanted everyone to remember how Taiwan and the Chinese mainland stood together in tough times. They said it’s important to stay united and not separate.
One of the speakers, Mr. Chi Chia-lin, told everyone that after the Lugou Bridge Incident, many brave people in Taiwan stood up. Over 70 acts of resistance happened in just one month! ๐ฎ
He also shared that many young people from Taiwan went to the Chinese mainland to help in the war effort. They believed China was their motherland and that they would win in the end.
“Today, as we remember the July 7 incident, we want to keep that strong spirit,” Mr. Chi said. “We want to work together and be one big family.”
This gathering was organized by many groups in Taiwan who care about their history and the future. They hope that by remembering the past, everyone can work towards a happier, united future! ๐
