Hey there! Have you heard the exciting news from southwest China? 😊
A giant hydropower station called the Batang Hydropower Station just started its second big generator! ⚡ This means more clean energy is on the way!
The Batang Hydropower Station is built on the Jinsha River. It’s like a huge water-powered battery that creates electricity when water flows through it! 💧🔌
It has three huge generators, each one super powerful. The first one started working in May, and now the second one is up and running. The third one will start in mid-July. That’s soon! 🗓️
When all three generators are working, the station will make over 3 billion kilowatt-hours of clean energy every year. That’s enough electricity for 1.75 million homes! 🏡🏡🏡
And guess what? Using this hydropower instead of burning coal saves over 1 million tonnes of coal each year! 🏭❌ That also means less pollution—3.15 million tonnes less carbon dioxide going into the air! 🌍💚
Isn’t it amazing how water can help power our world in a clean way? Maybe one day, you’ll help invent even better ways to make clean energy! 🚀
