Heavy Rains Cause Landslides in China’s Sichuan Province; 4 People Missing

Hi friends!

Recently, in Sichuan Province in southwest China, there has been a lot of heavy rain. 🌧️ This rain caused landslides, which are when rocks and earth slide down mountains. These landslides happened in a place called Danba County.

Because of the landslides, four villagers are missing, and people are searching for them. Let’s send good thoughts and hope they’re found safe soon!

Since July 2, Danba County has had heavy rainfall. The rain caused fast-moving water called mountain torrents and more landslides. Twelve towns in the area have been affected.

To keep everyone safe, 645 families, which is 1,719 people, had to move to safer places. Imagine having to leave your home because of too much rain! It’s not easy, but safety comes first.

We hope the rain stops soon and that everyone in Sichuan Province stays safe. Remember, if there’s bad weather like heavy rain in your area, always listen to the adults and stay safe!
