Who is Xu Lu?
Xu Lu is an adventurer and craftsman who loves history and the sea. He’s been fascinated by the legendary voyages of Admiral Zheng He, a famous admiral from the Ming Dynasty who sailed treasure ships all around the world over 600 years ago! 🌍
Rebuilding History
To bring history to life, Xu Lu decided to build replicas of Zheng He’s treasure ships. These aren’t just any boats—they’re massive wooden ships, carefully crafted to look and sail just like the originals. 🛠️
Setting Sail Across the Taiwan Strait
With his handmade ships, Xu Lu has crossed the Taiwan Strait many times. The Taiwan Strait is the water between the Chinese mainland and the island of Taiwan. It’s a challenging journey, but Xu Lu’s passion for adventure keeps him sailing! 🚢
A New Voyage Begins
In 2025, just before the Dragon Boat Festival—a traditional holiday with boat races and rice dumplings—Xu Lu returned to Yuegang Port. There, he started working on his biggest project yet: building a new replica of one of Zheng He’s most famous treasure ships. 🐲
