China’s Chen Yuanjiang Smashes Asian Junior 110m Hurdles Record

Meet Chen Yuanjiang from China! He zoomed over hurdles to win the men’s 110-meter hurdles in an astonishing 12.96 seconds at the Chinese National Junior Athletics Championships in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province.

Not only did Chen win the gold medal, but he also shattered the Asian junior record for the 99-centimeter hurdles! He beat the previous record held by Japan’s Shunsuke Izumiya by a remarkable 0.23 seconds.

Starting in lane four, Chen took the lead right from the first hurdle and never looked back. He kept increasing his advantage with every hurdle, finishing with a big smile and a triumphant fist pump. ๐Ÿฅ‡
