Alexander’s Amazing Accordion Adventure 🎶

Hey there! Have you ever heard of someone who loved accordions so much that they collected over 800 of them? Meet Alexander Zazulin, a man with an incredible passion for accordions!

Alexander is a third-generation Russian who was born and raised in Xinjiang, a beautiful region in the Chinese mainland. Since he was a child, he has been absolutely fascinated by accordions. 🎹

Not only can he play these wonderful instruments, but he also knows how to repair, collect, and preserve them. In fact, in 1991, he opened his very own accordion repair shop! People from all over came to see him, and his shop became famous both locally and internationally.

Over the past 40 years, Alexander has collected more than 800 accordions from over 20 different countries! Can you imagine that? Each accordion has its own story to tell.

With the help of the local government, Alexander established the Alexander Accordion Museum on Liuxing Street in Yining. The museum is huge—spanning 1,200 square meters—and is like a magical place where every accordion sings its own unique song. 🎵

In 2013, Alexander was honored as an intangible cultural heritage inheritor for keeping the Bayan accordion tradition of the Russian ethnic group alive in Xinjiang. This means he’s helping to preserve a special part of culture so that more people can learn about it!

For Alexander, the accordion isn’t just an instrument—it’s his lifelong friend and soulmate. In his museum, each accordion whispers music that travels across time.

Isn’t Alexander’s story inspiring? Maybe next time you see an accordion, you’ll think of him and his amazing adventure!
