Hey there! Did you hear about the exciting meetings between China and Africa? 🌍 China’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, met with leaders from Uganda, Liberia, and Rwanda in Changsha, a city in the Chinese mainland.
Building Friendships
Wang Yi met with Uganda’s Prime Minister, Robinah Nabbanja. They talked about how China and Uganda can be better friends and help each other. Guess what? Uganda’s exports to China grew by 90% in the first three months of this year! That’s a big jump! 📈
They also discussed working together in areas like building roads, hospitals, and schools. They want to make sure both countries grow strong and healthy together. 🏗️🏥🏫
Helping Each Other
Wang Yi also met Liberia’s Vice President, Jeremiah Koung. Liberia just got elected as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. 🎉 They talked about how important it is for countries to help each other and stand up for what’s right.
China promised to keep supporting Liberia in things like farming, mining, and protecting the oceans. 🌾⛏️🌊 Liberia thanked China for being such a good friend and helping them grow.
Working Together
With Rwanda’s Foreign Minister, Olivier Nduhungirehe, Wang Yi discussed how modernization doesn’t have to mean becoming like Western countries. They agreed it’s important to find their own paths. 🛤️
China wants to help Rwanda achieve its “Vision 2050,” which is a big plan to make Rwanda even better by the year 2050. They plan to work together on building things, healthcare, and education. 🎯🩺🎓
