Hey kids! 🚀 Guess what? China has just started mass-producing a super cool airplane called the AG600 “Kunlong”! 🛩️ This isn’t just any plane—it’s the world’s largest amphibious aircraft! That means it can fly in the sky ✈️ and land on water! 🌊 Isn’t that awesome?
The AG600 is as big as a Boeing 737, which is one of the planes you might fly on for a family vacation. It measures almost 39 meters long and has a wingspan of about 39 meters too! 📏 That’s longer than three school buses lined up! 🚌🚌🚌
This giant plane can fly over 4,500 kilometers without stopping. That’s like flying from New York to Los Angeles! 🗽➡️🎬 Plus, it can carry up to 60 tonnes—that’s like carrying 40 to 50 cars at once! 🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗
But what makes the Kunlong really special is its ability to fight forest fires. 🌲🔥 It has a big “water-scooping bucket” on its belly. By skimming over a lake or ocean, it can pick up 12 tonnes of water in just 20 seconds! 💦 Then it flies over to drop the water on fires to help put them out. How cool is that?
The AG600 was first developed in 2009, and since then, it has had some exciting milestones. It had its first flight in 2017, took off from a lake for the first time in 2018, and flew over the sea in 2020! Now, after lots of hard work, it’s ready to be built in large numbers to help with emergency rescues and protect nature. 🌍❤️
This amazing plane shows how teamwork and innovation can create incredible things. Hundreds of companies and thousands of people worked together to build the AG600. It’s a great example of how we can use technology to help the world. 🤝💡
So next time you look up at the sky or the ocean, imagine the AG600 soaring above, ready to help fight fires and save lives! 🌟
